Learn to say hello in Pitjantjatjara for the World Summit

A short video introduces the Indigenous language learning to be provided by Trevor Jamieson at the start each day of the Summit, a unique opportunity to learn more about Australia’s Indigenous culture and language.

Actor, dancer, storyteller and musician, Trevor Jamieson possesses a profound ability to span the breadth of artistic expression in its many forms. Born in Subiaco, Western Australia, Trevor belongs to the Spinifex mob of the Western Desert region.  Among his many achievements is his thought-provoking theatre piece, Ngapartji Ngapartji, produced by Big hART. The play features dialogue in both Pitjantjatjara and English and has earned Trevor a number of well-deserved accolades.

Taking up the concept of language learning from the project, Trevor will teach all World Summit delegates some language as a platform for highlighting the need for preservation of Indigenous languages.  Begin your online training now!
