Robyn Archer appointed as Programme Advisor for 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture
IFACCA and the Australia Council for the Arts are delighted to announce the appointment of singer, writer, artistic director and public advocate for the arts, Robyn Archer AO, CdOAL (France), OC (Belgium) as Programme Advisor for the 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture.

Ms Archer will work closely with IFACCA and the Australia Council on developing the Summit theme, Creative Intersections, and selecting speakers. The World Summit will highlight how the arts can give a voice to diverse communities through collaborations with sectors of society such as health, technology, education, environment, business and cultural identity.
The only international event of its kind, the World Summit brings together arts policy makers from around the world and provides a platform to exchange experiences and ideas about key issues affecting public support for artists and the arts at a national and global level.
Celebrating IFACCA’s tenth anniversary and a first for Australia as the host country, the 5th World Summit will be held in Melbourne on 3 – 6 October, 2011. Over 600 delegates from 80 countries are expected to attend.
Included in the website is the recent international call for speakers to the 5th World Summit, issued in June 2010, along with news and programme updates. Registration details will be announced in early 2011.
The 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture is being jointly hosted by IFACCA and the Australia Council for the Arts in partnership with Arts Victoria.
