IFACCA website trials translation into five languages
For a trial period of three months, the IFACCA website will be available in English, Spanish, French, Korean, Portuguese and Chinese, thanks to the addition of a trial version of Google translator.
As we are a small organisation and we generate a large amount of information, news and reports, we have always been conscious that it is beyond our resources to translate all that we do into the main languages of our members. We have been monitoring the technical developments in ‘machine translations’ for many years now and they have improved considerably. We would very much appreciate any feedback from our readers about the quality of the Google translation tool so we can decide whether it adds value.
We hope to trial an online version of ACORNS available in each of these languages in the near future, also using the Google translator. In the meantime, external sites accessed through the IFACCA website should also be translated thereby giving access to all our international news items in each of the six languages.
We hope you find the translation facility provides more access to the work of IFACCA – to use this new facility, please choose a language from the flags at the top of the home page.
