ConnectCP now profiles cultural policy experts from over 80 countries
The geographic scope of ConnectCP [http://www.connectcp.org], the international 'who's who' of cultural policy, continues to grow, making it increasingly effective in connecting policymakers, researchers and conference organisers around the world.
At its launch in June 2007, the ConnectCP online database contained profiles of 228 experts from 52 countries. It now contains over 550 expert profiles from 81 countries. With the database now available in Spanish and French, thanks to partnerships with OEI, Interarts and the Canadian Cultural Observatory, we expect the number of experts and the geographical coverage to increase significantly.
Experts and ConnectCP users continue to send their thanks and appreciation for the way the database has helped them make valuable connections. For example, organisations have used ConnectCP to find experts to undertake research consultancies and to find lecturers for courses. Experts have used ConnectCP to re-establish contact with other experts, and to connect with local experts on their travels.
At the advanced search page you can search for experts using a range of criteria including the following 81 countries: Albania, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Guyana, Cayman Islands, Chile, China, Colombia, Congo, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, FYROM, France, Gambia, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mali, Malta, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Mozambique, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Palestine, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Swaziland, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.
Every day an expert is highlighted on the home page at www.connectcp.org.
ConnectCP is an initiative of IFACCA. The objectives of ConnectCP are to increase the international flow of ideas, skills and knowledge about developments in cultural policy, and to improve the quality of cultural policy debate by increasing access to, and interaction between, experts in the field. By doing this, ConnectCP aims to improve arts support and the implementation of arts programs and initiatives worldwide - and to ultimately benefit artists, arts organisations and communities.
Organisations interested in discussing collaborations with ConnectCP are invited to contact the ConnectCP co-ordinator, Diane Dodd, at diane@connectcp.org or IFACCA's Executive Director, Sarah Gardner, at info@ifacca.org.
