Browse ACORNS news by country

Did you know that at the IFACCA website you can view all current and past ACORNS news items by country?

The news items you read in ACORNS every fortnight, plus many others that don't make it into the final bulletin, are archived on the IFACCA website. You can choose to view these archived items in a number of ways, including by country via the IFACCA Directory.

The IFACCA Directory has been a valued function of the website since the Federation began. For each country, the Directory provides information on the country's national arts and culture agencies, its regional (state, province etc) arts agencies, and other key organisations. This unique directory is a valuable online tool for touring the world’s national arts agencies without leaving your desk.

At the top of each country's Directory entry you will see a link that says 'show news and resources' from that country. Clicking on the link will take you to ACORNS news, events and publications from that country. The picture below is taken from Fiji's profile.

This feature of the IFACCA Directory is a powerful tool for tracking key developments in a particular country. For example, the feature makes it easy to follow the arts policy initiatives of new governments recently elected in Australia and France, and the restructuring of government agencies in Scotland.

Also, if you are travelling, why not first check out the resources via the IFACCA Directory for up-to-date cultural policy news from your destination countries? Although it is impossible for us to gather all cultural policy news items for every country, we have news of major developments in most countries from A to Z; from Argentina through Botswana, Cuba, the Philippines, Turkey, to Zimbabwe.

Take time to visit the IFACCA Directory and make the most of its rich store of news and information. We hope you find the Directory useful and welcome your feedback on how we can make it even better.
