New IFACCA board elected and chair reappointed

Five new board members were elected to the IFACCA board at the General Assembly on 14 June 2006. Clarisa Ruiz (Colombia), Quresh Ahmed (Kenya), Li Mu (China), Georgia Iliopoulou (Greece) and Ian McRae (Australia), will join re-elected members Risto Ruohonen (Finland) and Lee Suan Hiang (Singapore) and continuing member, Kim Evans (England), and serve for three years. Board members that concluded their terms in 2006, Nguyen Van Tinh (Vietnam), Elizabeth Kerr (New Zealand), Octavio Arbelaez (Colombia) and John Hobday (Canada), were acknowledged for their contribution to IFACCA. At the new board's first meeting on 17 June, Risto Ruohonen was elected as Chair, Kim Evans as Deputy Chair and Lee Suan Hiang as Treasurer. It is anticipated that the next board meeting will be held in October in China.
