African Observatory and IFACCA to work together
We are delighted to announce that IFACCA has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Observatory of Cultural Policies in Africa (OCPA). The Observatory was created in 2002 with the support of the African Union, UNESCO and the Institute for Cultural Enterprise, with assistance from the Ford Foundation. OCPA aims to enhance the development of national cultural policies in Africa, and the integration of cultural policies in human development strategies through advocacy, information exchange, research, capacity building and cooperation at the regional and international level. The OCPA website contains a wealth of resources on cultural policy issues across Africa, and their newsletter, OCPA News, is an invaluable source of news on cultural policies in Africa. Under the reciprocal agreement OCPA becomes an affiliate member of IFACCA.
