World Summit attracts 200 people from 40 countries
With three months still to go, organisers of the third World Summit on Arts and Culture expect to attract a record number of participants. Coming from every continent, delegates and speakers will descend on NewcastleGateshead, England, on 14-18 June 2006. Arts Council England has already registered 200 bookings for a maximum of 500 delegate places from Japan to Costa Rica, Jordan to Mozambique, and Denmark to New Zealand. With the priority booking period for international delegates now concluded, the online booking system has been opened at www.artsummit.org. The latest program details and an updated PDF can be downloaded here. A ten per cent 'early bird' discount is still be available until 31 March as is the opportunity for delegates in developing countries to request bursary support.
