WELCOME TO A NEW AFFILIATE
We are pleased to welcome the Korea Arts and Culture Education Service (KACES) as an affiliate member of IFACCA. A joint initiative of the Republic of Korea's Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, KACES aims to support arts and education by encouraging interaction among policymakers, community activists and teachers, and by supporting the arts education environment more generally. The Service is coordinating an International Arts Education Symposium in Seoul, 21-22 November 2005, and the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Arts Education Conference, 23-25 November, in the lead-up to the UNESCO World Conference on Arts Education in Lisbon, Portugal, in March 2006. KACES was established in February 2005, and is currently finalising its English language website.
