Status Of Artists - Can You Comment?
IFACCA has received a query from the Saskatchewan Arts Alliance (SAA), Canada, which should be of interest to us all. The SAA is interested in finding out about legislation and policies aimed at protecting and improving the status of artists. View the question here. With our upgraded website, you can now provide your comments directly via a forum facility. Just go to our research topics page, log on with your usual username and password, and post your comments to the forum. Alternatively, you can email info@ifacca.org. Please take the time out to share your knowledge - that piece of information you take for granted may be invaluable to others. more >
Artsjournal's Issues Tracks
ArtsJournal, a daily digest of arts and cultural journalism in the English-speaking world, offers services to help navigate arts and cultural issues - such as its 'IssuesTracks' which group stories by issue such as the 'state of dance', 'arts funding', and 'cultural autonomy'. Check out the IssuesTracks page to see if that issue you're currently dealing with is covered. more >
Ifacca's Research Links
New cultural policy research links have been added to the IFACCA website. The links provide a portal to major centres undertaking research and commentary on arts and cultural policy. Links are grouped into four categories:
- Independent research agencies and 'think tanks'
- University departments and university-related agencies
- Cultural observatories
- Cultural policies around the world
