IFACCA BOARD TO MEET IN BARCELONA

The interim board of IFACCA will hold its next six-monthly meeting in Barcelona on 7-8th November. In addition to regular business, it will discuss the World Summit and other initiatives planned for 2003 and will welcome Jonathan Katz, Executive Director of the US National Association of State Arts Agencies to assist in IFACCA's strategic planning. The meeting will provide an opportunity for the board to meet representatives of various government and cultural agencies. more >

Can you help? Musical instruments donation scheme

IFACCA's latest D'Art question (number 8) is from UNESCO'S Global Alliance team. They are seeking information on second hand musical instrument donation schemes for professional musicians in developing countries. We have already received a number of useful leads on this question, and would welcome any information you might be able to provide. Update: Philanthropy and the arts

Our D'Art research question about philanthropy and the arts has generated a great deal of interest and we expect many of you will be looking forward to the results! IFACCA and Australia's Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (DoCITA) (who asked the question) wish to thank all those who took the time to provide information. NEA Planning toolkit available online

The USA's National Endowment for the Arts has an excellent online strategic planning resource for arts organisations. The 'Lessons Learned Toolsite' is a compendium of planning advice from a selection of professional arts consultants.
